Job Description
We at Ideatrix are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Game Tester to join our dynamic team. As a Game Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our mobile game before it reaches the market. You will be responsible for identifying bugs, providing feedback on gameplay mechanics, and ensuring that the user experience meets our high standards. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who love gaming and want to contribute to the development of engaging and high-quality gaming experiences. This is a short-term, volunteer opportunity.
Duties
- Play testers will connect with the developers directly to playtest the game. These will potentially be live sessions but independent playtests may be able to be organized.
- Conduct thorough testing of our mobile game and identify bugs, glitches, or potential issues.
- Collaborate with developers to communicate findings and provide actionable feedback.
- Test game features, functionality, and user interfaces to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in team meetings when able to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions related to testing efforts.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- An avid interest in gaming.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying issues effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills for documenting findings clearly and concisely.
