Hi, I’m Mike Pach, the owner of 3 Peaks Photography and Design. I’m a freelance photographer, speaker, author, radio host, and event planner who loves capturing nature, night skies, and the stories behind moments. My inspirational 365-day project “Same Tree, Different Day” reflects my commitment to consistency and sharing uplifting perspectives.
I’m also deeply involved in my community as an author of “Colorado Springs Then and Now,” and through roles with organizations like DarkSky Colorado, the Downtown Partnership of Colorado Springs, Visit COS, and the Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance. I enjoy teaching, mentoring, and creating engaging experiences through workshops, classes, and events.

I photographed a tree behind my home every day for a year. This 365-day project started out as an exercise in creativity, but it taught me lessons about practicing mindfulness, mnaging mental health and achieving goals. I have given dozens of talks on this project, including one at the Canadian Mental Health Association Conference in Toronto in 2019. I photographed and edited all of the images. I designed the logo and all of the posters.

I published a book for the Colorado Springs sesquicentennial that is a collection of 75 pairs of “then and now” photographs. There was also an accomanying gallery exhibit that contained 50 pairs of photos. I planned, captured and edited all of the “now” photos. I researched and restored all of the “then” photos. I also researched and wrote all of the copy. I sold all 1,000 copies printed myself and through independent book stores and small businesses in Colorado Springs.
