End-to-end retail analytics project built on a real-world retail dataset covering 54 stores, 33 product categories, and over 3 million transactions (2013–2017). - Designed and modeled the relational database in PostgreSQL and developed SQL queries to answer business questions and validate key metrics. - Cleaned, validated, transformed, and integrated sales, store, transaction, and holiday datasets using Python (Pandas, NumPy). - Performed exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify sales patterns, seasonality, store performance, and business trends. - Developed KPIs and analytical insights to support data-driven decision-making. - Built forecasting models using machine learning techniques and evaluated model performance. - Created interactive Power BI dashboards based on a Star Schema data model with DAX measures and business-oriented visualizations. Data Analyst — Credit Card Fraud Detection at ITEIP

Machine learning project focused on detecting fraudulent credit card transactions in a highly imbalanced dataset, where fraud represented approximately 0.17% of all transactions. - Cleaned and validated 284K+ transaction records and removed duplicate observations. - Compared Logistic Regression, Random Forest with SMOTE, and XGBoost using stratified train/validation/test splits. - Optimized the classification threshold using validation data to balance precision and recall. - Evaluated the final model on an independent test set, achieving 97.2% precision, 72.6% recall, and a ROC-AUC of 0.971 with XGBoost. Demonstrates a rigorous approach to imbalanced classification, with particular attention to model evaluation and the operational cost of false alerts.
