I’m Alaena Reed, a fashion designer who fell in love with creating at a young age—sewing doll clothes with my grandmother and later earning my way back into the craft in my early 20s. After studying at Academy of Art University and transferring to the University of North Texas to complete my BFA in Fashion Design, I graduated Cum Laude in 2021 and began building my career in technical and creative design at Rebel Athletic. In my roles at Rebel Athletic, I translate customer concepts into production-ready designs that balance creativity with manufacturability, supporting high-performing wholesale collections and lookbook features. I’ve also worked closely with factories and managed wholesale tech sheets as a Tech Coordinator, strengthening the details that keep garments accurate and on schedule while continuing to grow my skills in patternmaking and garment construction.
