    This project showcases a before-and-after comparison of a hip-hop mix, focusing on balance, vocal clarity, and low-end control.

    In the raw version, the mix lacked definition in the vocals, had inconsistent levels, and the low-end elements competed for space. My goal was to create a cleaner, more controlled, and translation-ready mix while maintaining the energy of the performance.

    Key improvements:

    • Refined vocal presence for clarity and intelligibility without harshness
    • Balanced instrumentation to create separation and depth
    • Controlled low-end (kick and bass) for tighter, more focused impact
    • Applied subtle processing to enhance cohesion without over-processing

    The final version translates well across different listening environments, with a clear vocal upfront and a controlled, punchy low-end that supports the record.
