My name is Aaron Lindsey, and I am a graphic designer from Columbia, Maryland. I'm a former Division One athlete, who recently graduated from Georgetown University with a major in art, concentrating in graphic design. My interest in graphic design began in high school when I took my first graphic design course. I fell in love with how designers lead viewers' eyes through their work using layouts, controlling the audience's paths throughout their work. My current work combines all the genres I find interesting, including pop culture, music, sports, and fashion. It is a representation of the people I surround myself with and the special ways they all present themselves. I truly believe that shared experiences are richer, and I want my work to embody that sense of community. My creative process begins with a bare-bones structure, allowing ideas and changes to flow organically. This approach mirrors our experiences in life, as we encounter numerous influences, with some influences resonating deeply while others do not. As graphic designers, much of our work is intended to serve a purpose; graphic design has an inherent goal: to convey information or evoke a feeling. This goal typically means a clean, concise design. However, as I grow as a designer, I enjoy adding elements that give onlookers a chance to stop and take a look at the finer details by combining clean templates and layouts with bold colors and textures.
