AetherRedMusic is a sophomore at Iowa State University majoring in electrical engineering and music composition with a minor in military science. He has a strong interest and history in music through his education at Dunlap High School, Illinois Central College, and Iowa State University, as he is a 13+ year experienced piano player and 10+ year experienced trombone player who has been in the Achievement in Music program through the Peoria Area Music Teachers Association and the Illinois Music Education Association for over 10 years. In addition, Nathan has been in his high school’s marching band, the Dunlap Marching Eagles, for 4 years, playing front ensemble and low brass. He has been an ambitious student, creating arrangements for entertaining and bringing the joy and magic of music to all. During his sophomore year in the spring of 2022, he wrote his first arrangement, Hotel Room Service, for the DHS pep band. In his senior year, he would continue writing arrangements for the pep band and jazz band, and the pep band would play an arrangement of his Hamil-Time-Outs “My Shot”, and the jazz band would play his Rag Pak “Maple Leaf Rag”. Being the most enthusiastic jazz member, he would go on to receive the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award for outstanding performance and musicianship. AetherRedMusic graduated from Dunlap High School in May of 2024, and is currently double majoring in an associate’s degree in engineering and majoring in music and music business at Illinois Central College.
