Hello, I’m Ailsa, the founder of Lotus Poetry and a devoted single mum to three incredible boys. At Lotus Poetry, I craft poems that are raw, real, and rooted in life’s everyday struggles—words that transform pain into healing and hope. My goal is to empower self-confidence and acceptance in every reader. I am passionate about using my writing to inspire and uplift others while empowering their self confidence and self acceptance." I believe, as Jackie Chan wisely said, "Sometimes it takes only one act of kindness and caring to change a person's life." Through my poetry, I strive to be that small act of kindness that makes a difference. As a natural creative with a strong attention to detail and a business owner myself, I have the relevant experience and knowledge of creating original personalised company brand designs for logos, products and packaging as well as website set up and design and also creative portfolio's/landing pages. As a poet I have had my work published in 4 different anthologies and performed in a spoken word special, both live on stage and radio in Liverpool , as well as be featured on a podcast in New Zealand. I am also a finalist as Social enterprise entrepreneur in the UK Startup Awards 2025, a Finalist for Early Stage Standout in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2025 and a finalist for Giving Back Award in the Women's Business Club global awards .
