About

I am a multidisciplinary product designer with over 25 years of experience creating lighting, furniture and consumer products. I run Studio Alain Monnens BV and have taught industrial product design at Howest, and since 2021 I’m coordinating business development at VIVES while supporting design education. I enjoy turning complex requirements into tangible, manufacturable products that delight users.

As a studio owner and educator, I combine hands-on design practice with strategic thinking to help brands bring innovative, well-crafted solutions to market.
