Hi, I’m Alban Kakulya. I’m a Swiss filmmaker, writer, science journalist and photographer based in Geneva. I studied photography and journalism in Switzerland and filmmaking at the New York Film Academy, then worked as a reporter publishing in The Economist, Intelligent Life, Courrier International and Libération. I later directed science films for Swiss and European institutions such as the EPFL, RTS, Arte and the Leenaards Foundation, and in 2024 directed the feature-length science film The DayLight Revolution for the DayLight Academy. In 2023 I launched the YouTube channel Lueur, exploring consciousness and philosophy, which has since accumulated over two million views. I continue to develop cross-disciplinary projects at the intersection of science, art and storytelling.
