I’m a music producer/composer/audio engineer of 23 years who specializes in Hip Hop and enjoys bending and fusing genres. I primarily blend different types of genres like Latin American genres, RnB, Jazz, Soul, Afrobeat & others with a base of Hip Hop. I see creating music as a sacred expression of the soul and work with artists in a way that helps them dig deeper within them to create innovative and expressive art. I enjoy working with artists in an iterative fashion to materialize what they hear in their head.
In 2012, I started a home studio with a friend in and in that process, we met producer Timbaland’s best friend, Bill Pettaway (producer / guitarist / synth expert). We became close to Bill and when he saw that we had both technical engineering knowledge and musical knowledge, he brought us in to his camp. In 2013 and 2014, I was able to get an intense crash course on synthesis, music theory, music production, audio engineering and songwriting by being mentored directly by Bill and being around Tim.

I love working with other artists, orgs and companies who need culturally relevant music to drive their message and reach their audience. I create global music that fuses genres and embraces intersectionality.

Remote work, quick turnaround (2 weeks) custom scoring project for 25 minute film about civil rights leader and board of education pioneer in New Orleans. The client (BLIP Institute) wanted a mix of genres that covered Southern Gospel, Soul, R&B and Hip Hop/Trap. I was able to deliver on a very short turnaround, working quickly and iteratively with the client. I also mixed/mastered for the appropriate medium. The client was very happy and satisfied with the resulting score.
Met Nigerian artist Misfit Toray on IG and produced 9 track mixtape 100% remotely. Since the artist did not have access to high quality mic/studio equipment, we had to mix the album with lofi recordings and still maintained high quality overall.
Produced all tracks and mixed/mastered some tracks. This project is a call to reflect on how colonization has affected us and to encourage people to reconnect with their roots.
Produced all of the tracks for artist Red Eyed Jedi from Baltimore, MD. I worked 100% remote on this project. Interesting mix and blending of genres. The album includes discussion of social justice issues like police brutality against Black people, descriptive first person storytelling and messages around healing.
