I am a versatile artist working in both traditional and digital media. I have ten years of experience in figure drawing from a live model and have taken courses in academic drawing with Tess-Marie White at the Golden Gate Atelier. I am available for covers, book illustrations, posters, advertisements, and other related projects. In my illustrations, surreal scenes are represented by lifelike subjects and carefully observed objects. Drawing from my background in literature and creative writing, I imbue these scenes with symbolism, world-building, and implied history. I am influenced by Northern Renaissance art, Ukiyo-e woodblock prints, Art Nouveau, Golden Age Illustration, and the covers of Heavy Metal Magazine. Accomplishments include Honorable Mention in the 3x3 International Illustration Show No.22; exhibiting and selling a piece at Nielsen Arts Gallery in Berkeley as part of the 510 All Stars Show; selling two pieces in a group show at Liberty Arts Gallery in Berkeley; and being one of three artists selected for the April 2024 Grounded NW Coffee & Tea show in Portland, with a piece purchased by the cafe owner. I have also worked in retail and created art prints sold at fairs through The Spooky Haus collective in Berkeley.

uniE621 "The Sinking Merchant" Art Print
This piece began as a pencil drawing from life of a model sitting on a couch. To create a story, I set the couch in the middle of the ocean, where it would inevitably sink. The final draft is a scan of the drawing which I colored in Procreate. So far, I have sold one copy.
uniE621 First draft of "Xenotransfusion" (previously referenced)

    uniE621 "Xenotransfusion"
Piece of sci-fi art I created, prints of which are being sold through the Spooky Haus, an art collective in Berkeley, CA. The final draft is a scan of a physical drawing that I colored in Procreate. The first draft was inspired by H.R. Giger's concept art, as well as anatomical illustrations from the Renaissance. It was exhibited in print form in the art show at Grounded NW. My initial notion for this entire project was that different organisms, rather like different organs, might share a single cardiovascular system. I "lit up" the heart in order to make it explicitly artificial, like a neon sculpture, suggesting a cyberpunk world where organs are grown in vats and life has been modified by cutting-edge technology. illustrator graphicdesigner
