Hi, I’m Alina Lomas, a second-year Fine Art student at Manchester Metropolitan University. I am passionate about theatre, film, and storytelling, particularly how set design brings stories to life. I am detail-oriented, imaginative, and I enjoy collaborating with others to develop and realise new ideas. My practice spans detailed painting, drawing, sculpture using ceramics and modelling materials, as well as collage and printmaking. At university I have developed skills in painting, color, and tone to give dimension and meaning to artwork. I have worked collaboratively on themed exhibitions such as Lost and Found, which explored degradation through artworks and photographic collages of historic towns, highlighting the contrast between heritage and modern development. Recently I have begun creating 3D dioramas to develop miniature set-building skills and expand my knowledge of set design and stage production.
