Patrick King, the son of a former touring guitarist for Otis Redding, is a composer, singer, songwriter, sound designer, and music director based in Washington, D.C. His professional credits include musical compositions for choirs, music artists, a documentary for Canada’s Kelly’s Bake Shoppe, the short film Why are You So Afraid of Me, as well as two albums, one EP, and several singles of his own. King’s portfolio showcases a distinct sound influenced by world, orchestral, and electronic music. As the 2023 winner of the EastWest Composer Cloud Contest, his work is recognized for its originality, versatility, and unique capacity to integrate multiple genres through a characteristic hybrid style. Currently, King is completing his senior year at Berklee College of Music, where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Music for Film, TV, and Games.
