Hi, I am Alleyah. A filmmaker by training and profession. A language nerd and a huge fan of my mother tongue- Urdu. Am an unpublished poet across English and Urdu, a teacher of poetry appreciation at some art centers in Mumbai, a content head and creative director in my past avatar of a broadcasting career at Sony Pictures Entertainment - India. Am also a curator of Ā Hindustani gayaki Baithak Revival series called Haroof( the alphabet in Urdu) - this part of me is about 7 years old and I have been fortunate to have seen about 10 concerts across different venues locally.
My career has been extremely rewarding both intellectually and financially. And now I am very happy to do many different things including workshops on language and literature appreciation to voice overs in both English and Urdu.

I curated and ran a workshop on content management with regards to Intellectual Property rights and management of talent value. A guest speaker was invited and I also shot a short promotional video which is attached here.
I come from a culture with mixed ethnicity and faith. Born in a Urdu speaking home, the language comes naturally to me and I have been learning the finer details of this language via reading and writing poetry and verse as well as self schooling myself through conversations and workshops in the language.
I have been tasked with teaching poetry appreciation to a group of language lovers at an art center in Mumbai. It is a mixed age group class and is a lot of fun because in teaching them, I am getting to learn so much more.
I cannot attach a lesson plan or a recording of the sessions - but if you were to handle any brand - self or otherwise, I am very aware of cultures and traditions and will be utmost happy to engage with multiple different communities across the globe.
