Hello! I am Amare Alemaye Mersha, a postdoctoral researcher in economics with a focus on macroeconomic fluctuations, applied econometrics, and environmental and energy economics. I enjoy connecting quantitative research with policy evaluation and real-world data, and I’m driven by opportunities to collaborate across disciplines to generate actionable insights for policymakers and businesses.
In my work, I combine DSGE modeling and time-series/panel data analysis with interdisciplinary projects in energy and environmental policy. I am eager to apply rigorous econometric methods to large cross-country and firm-level datasets, and I value clear communication of methods and results for diverse audiences.
