June 1, 2024 - June 14, 2024
A historical project to help children learn about air raid shelters. • Working in a team of illustrators to create a shelter activity leaflet. • Contributed to the team by refining the character design concepts and style for the pamphlet. • Tasked to work with a limited colour palette to bring the project to life. • To work on this project I had to do lots of research into air raid shelters and the history of them in the local area of Nottingham. • Worked on a spot the difference illustration, incorporating the research I had done and objects that were used at the time that the children might have seen, aiming to create an engaging activity for the children to enjoy. • Illustrated the front cover and designed some stickers as I had a been integral to the design of the characters.
