IT Engineer intern specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning within regulated aviation. I design and execute LLM evaluation frameworks, build regression-testing and validation pipelines, and work across international cross-functional teams to improve reliability, security, and performance. I bridge technical detail and business priorities through metric-driven delivery, reproducible experiments, and clear documentation, with hands-on experience in LLM-as-a-Judge, RAG evaluation, guardrails, and multi-agent agent workflows.

Work Experience

IT Engineering Intern at Swiss International Airlines
March 16, 2026 - August 31, 2026
IT Engineering Intern - Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at SWISS International Air Lines, part of Lufthansa Group. I work in the General Software Development team in Basel, contributing to AI evaluation, internal software tooling and cross-team digital initiatives. My main work focuses on designing a versioned evaluation framework for PAX, an internal employee assistant, including deterministic checks, tool-call validation, semantic LLM-as-a-Judge scoring and release gating. I also work on Retrieval-Augmented Generation evaluation using Databricks concepts, regression datasets and runtime quality signals to compare candidate releases against baseline behaviour. In this context, I helped reduce evaluation latency from around 6 seconds to 2 seconds by parallelising score computation and contributed to reducing observed fail cases through structured release-validation testing. During an internal hackathon, I designed a Model Context Protocol-enabled multi-agent workflow for GitHub Copilot CLI, with separate planning and implementation modes to support end-to-end software delivery and improve Azure DevOps task execution. I also create test cases covering AI reliability and security risks such as prompt injection, jailbreaks, data leakage, hallucinations and unsafe tool execution. Beyond AI evaluation, I collaborate with Digital Hangar, Customer Relationship Management colleagues and the PAX team across Lufthansa Group planning activities, including Program Increment Planning in Frankfurt. I also contribute to Lufthansa Cabins Improvement activities and lead a SWISS TechOps video initiative to promote internal culture.
IT Engineering Intern - Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at SWISS International Air Lines (Lufthansa Group)
March 1, 2026 - Present
Designed a versioned LLM evaluation framework for an internal PAX employee app with multiple validation layers, implemented Databricks-based regression assets for RAG response evaluation, and measured assistant behavior through runtime signals while reducing latency via parallelized scoring. Applied LLM-as-a-judge for release validation and created release-validation test cases across AI reliability and security failure modes (e.g., prompt injection, jailbreaks, data leakage, hallucinations, and unsafe tool execution). Built an MCP-enabled multi-agent workflow for Copilot CLI during a hackathon, collaborating across international teams and participating in Lufthansa Group planning activities.
