I’m Ashkan Saberi, an Iranian composer and guitarist. I graduated with top honors (110 cum laude) in Composition from the G. Verdi Conservatory of Turin in 2024, where I studied with Giorgio Colombo Taccani. My journey includes masterclasses with notable composers such as Ivan Fedele, Giorgio Colombo Taccani, Gianluca Cascioli, Clara Iannotta, and Mauro Lanza, among others. As an active composer, I created pieces across concert music, electronics, and film projects. Highlights include Sette Storie for string quartet and electronics, Illusione Eshraq for electric guitar and tape (performed at Nuova Consonanza in 2018), and a solo cello work from the EstOvest Festival masterclass in 2022. Since 2017, my guitar works have been published by Bergmann Edition, and my duo Three Sketches appeared in Soundboard magazine. I’ve written music for short films, participated in international soundtrack competitions, and performed my own guitar works at festivals such as Torino Città di Mille Corde in 2017. I’ve also directed a guitar ensemble in Iran and have been an endorsed artist with Hannabach Strings since 2014.
