This was a contest entry for a contest in 99designs... Here the client wanted to create an app which makes buying crypto very simple and fast.
To actually achieve I think there are a few things that the app must do...
Make it super easy for the user to make their mind up for buying, by providing all the important info upfront.
Also, we need to make all the info seem as intuitive as possible.
So, I was thinking about what the user really needs to make a purchase decision... Here's what I came up with->
I found out that people mostly buy crypto when the price is a bit low and sell when it's high.
People want to how much crypto they are getting for their money(USD).
So keeping these in mind, I designed the home screen...
Users can switch between coins by swiping to the next one or clicking on the bottom list. This would be really convenient!
It has the Coin value and the live graph. This does two things, first, it informs whether the price is tanking or going up. And second, as this would be dynamic, so this will give a FOMO effect to the user(Fear Of Missing Out) so the user will be compelled to make a decision fast.
Next, I think the most important part is the conversion section. Here I didn't use the slider. I think that when we are making a purchase the user will want to be precise. And it will be really difficult to enter a precise value, especially decimal no.s. So instead I made a conversion section with text inputs. This makes it very clear how many coins the user will get for what they spend in USD.
I also put the payment method right next to the BUY NOW! button.
So this way I have tried to make sure that the user makes a purchasing decision right in the home screen itself!
After this, I have the idea that the app could save some crypto wallets for the user. In this way, the user would not have to enter a new key every time to make a purchase. However, they definitely have an option to do so.
Also, in the popup, I included the amount that is being purchased. This will make sure the user has in mind what he/she is actually buying!
Overall I went for a minimalist look and feel, focusing more on the function. I want to make the UI clear and without any distractions, so the users can complete their objective as quickly as possible!…This was a contest entry for a contest in 99designs...
