Azadeh Aghaei

Senior 2D Concept Artist & Costume/Character Designer
Specialized in leading cinematic visual development and world-building for film, TV, animation, and hybrid productions.
With over 20 years of professional experience across feature films, TV series, animation, and advertising, I contribute to the visual foundation of large-scale productions by translating narrative, historical context, and artistic intent into coherent and production-ready visual systems.
My work focuses on costume and character concept design, cinematic world-building, and visual development for historical, epic, and fantasy-driven projects. I approach each project through in-depth research, cultural authenticity, and narrative analysis—ensuring that visual decisions support storytelling, production feasibility, and long-term visual consistency.
Throughout my career, I have worked closely with directors, costume designers, production designers, and VFX teams, often acting as a visual lead in early development phases—shaping key design directions, defining visual logic, and supporting cross-department alignment. While my role has been primarily contract-based, my contribution frequently extends beyond execution into visual decision-making and artistic guidance.
In addition to studio and production work, I have founded and directed an independent art gallery, gaining hands-on experience in artistic leadership, curation, and long-term visual strategy—skills that strongly inform my approach to production environments and collaborative workflows.
I am particularly interested in international collaborations and long-term partnerships with studios and production teams working in cinematic, historical, and story-driven projects, where strong visual leadership and conceptual clarity are essential.
