EXPERIENCE Illustrator ‘Infinitum: Subject Unknown’ Graphic Novel Fizz & Ginger Films During the Pandemic every working avenue of my former freelance career as an Actor and Production Carpenter abruptly stopped, prompting me to look in new directions for employment both to better safeguard my future against similar employment gaps. Having worked for Fizz & Ginger Films in various capacities over the last 10 years, they were aware of my abilities in illustration and approached me to turn one of their science fiction scripts into a Graphic Novel. I produced Concept Art, Storyboards, and had begun the rough penciling stages, after adapting what was a film script into a Graphic Novel format. The project was eventually shelved pending further financing. Illustrator “Journey to Atlantis” Dust Cover illustration for ‘Boxing Day’ film hero prop Warner Brothers I was hired to create an Isaac Asimov inspired illustration as the dust cover for a book written by the films main character, one of the hero props in the Warner Brothers Christmas Comedy Feature Film ‘Boxing Day’. The role required working to tight deadlines to produce a series of rough designs after meetings with the Production Designer and Art Director. Then, once I received final design approval, to produce a fully rendered digital painting in time for principal photography. Concept Art & Character Design “Once It’s Begun” Character Concepts and Storyboard Treatments Netflix AU I was first involved in this project as a voice artist, voicing two of the main characters in the narrative Podcast release. The story is a post-apocalyptic Western set 1000 years in the future. Netflix Australia showed considerable interest in animating the podcast as a series and I was engaged again by the company to prepare a Concept Illustration Pack for presentation to Netflix’s Animation Division. The main part of my role was to create Character Concepts for the core cast and also to produce a few storyboard stills.
