My scientific background began to take shape with my PhD. Once I began my exploration of what Laboratory Theatre is, I fell in love with the research immediately. The field of Commedia dell’Arte was revealed to me during this time as well, and I had the chance to work with eminent figures of the style, always at the intersection of practice and research.
In parallel with research, I have taught at a university, written articles, and had the chance to present my works at national and international conferences. I have held Commedia dell’Arte workshops, bridging academic knowledge with practical performance training. Here are a few of my scientific achievements: 1. My book “Laboratory Theatre, a Method and a Way of Life,” published after the research period. 2. Running my own conferences and workshops in national and international contexts. 3. Publishing articles as interviews with great personalities of commedia dell’arte. With regards to my medium-term scientific interests and goals, I am interested in pedagogical development and mentoring in art education, ethics, Laboratory Theatre, transmission of the techniques of Commedia dell’Arte and continued research and publication. With regards to my long-term goals, I want to pursue an interdisciplinary approach by bridging the gap between academic research and practical performance training, particularly through the lens of Laboratory Theatre and Popular Theatre. I am also interested in the emotional response of the spectator to different forms of theatre and in the integration of AI in the performance process.
