I’m Bill Doyle, a publishing executive, bestselling author, and copywriting expert based in the Greater NYC area. My first jobs after receiving my MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU was to write the script for the game "Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri" developed by Looking Glass in Boston. Over my career I’ve sold more than 2,000,000 books with leading publishers such as Random House, Scholastic, and Little Brown, while also leading teams as an editor and storyteller across museums and media organizations. My work blends strategic editing, storytelling, and cross-media development to create engaging educational and entertaining content for a wide audience. As a long-time editor and writer for Scholastic, TIME Inc., Sesame Workshop, AMC Networks, AMNH, and many brands, I’ve created customized books, magazines, advertisements, posters, guides, and interactive materials for Google, Nintendo, Warner Bros., Toyota, the Met, Nickelodeon, Boeing, and the NFL. I’m a member of the Writers Guild of America and Authors Guild, and I continue to work as an author and editor across print, digital, and experiential projects. One project was a workshop at the Metropolitan Museum of Art where I taught students how to write choose-your-own-adventure stories using works of art in the Met...using Twine!
