I’m Federico Campanale, DOP/documentary filmmaker based in Tokyo, with an MA in visual arts from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and Cooper Union (NL & US 2001). My background blends social geography and hands-on storytelling, and over the years I’ve worked across documentary and corporate productions as a DOP/cameraman, photographer, and drone pilot (licensed).

I partner with production teams internationally and bring both creative and technical craft to every project—whether capturing cinema-grade footage with a Sony FX6 and professional cine lenses, supervising post-production, or piloting licensed drones for aerial storytelling. Fluent in EN, FR, IT, NL, and SP, I also enjoy teaching and mentoring: I’ve been a guest and filmmaking teacher across art schools and media education in Europe.
