Hi there! I’m Bongiwe Malepe, a South African visual artist and freelance graphic designer. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Art from the University of Johannesburg, where I majored in painting and developed a strong interest in mixed media and collage. I have always been drawn to working with layers and combining different materials to tell a story. Alongside my art practice, I work digitally using Adobe Photoshop, Fresco, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, as well as Canva and Krita. I enjoy blending traditional techniques with digital tools and seeing how the two can inform each other. I also completed a PGCE, which strengthened how I communicate ideas and think about how people engage with creative work. I am always open to projects that challenge me and help me grow creatively.
