Bonnie Lemaire

I’m Bonnie Lemaire, an award-winning Canadian children’s book illustrator, author, and designer. I love bringing stories to life through expressive illustration, thoughtful book design, and a deep respect for childhood wonder. My work is known for its warmth, expressive characters, gentle storytelling, and whimsical charm that invites kids to slow down, explore, and fall in love with reading.

I guide projects from the earliest manuscript stages through illustration, book design, production, and publication, combining formal training with nearly two decades of experience in the publishing world. Whether I’m creating playful woodland adventures, heartfelt family moments, or imaginative tales, my goal is the same: spread joy, one book at a time.
