Hi, I’m Danny, a Rwandan filmmaker and colourist currently working at CLEA (Cinepostlab East Africa) with the Rwanda Media Project. My creative journey began at the Mashariki African Film Festival, where intensive workshops laid the foundation for my artistic and technical growth in the film industry. I am a colourist, writer, and audio describer—three roles that sit at the heart of visual storytelling. I’ve contributed to notable projects including Snow Over Kigali, Umukandara, Phiona, Not a Choice, A Letter to My Mother, and Nyiragitwa (Animation). I served as assistant director on Love Me, earning the Best Shot Award at Mashariki African Film Festival, and directed Seeing Hands, a documentary focused on women’s empowerment. Through this multifaceted work, I continue to shape compelling stories and elevate the visual language of Rwandan, African, and international cinema.
