Hi, I’m Byron Dowler, a Creative Director who works at the intersection of strategy, design and development — leading brand systems, digital platforms and campaigns from early insight through launch. My strength is deconstructing complex brand challenges, understanding audience behaviour, and translating that thinking into clear narratives, big ideas and creative design across scalable digital and offline experiences. I’ve led international award-winning work across lifestyles, real estate, tech and CPG, collaborating closely with founders, executives and internal teams. I’m comfortable stepping in as a creative lead — setting direction, mentoring teams, and elevating output — or designing hands-on.

paper Tyresense® Brand Strategy + Rebrand

Moving TPMS and fleet management forward

    Assignment
Rebranding a fleet management and TPMS technology company for global growth.

Tyresense provides tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) and sensor technology. The company now delivers fully integrated systems for mining and heavy-duty fleet operations. The goal was to reposition the brand to reflect this broader capability, clarify its leadership position and support global expansion.

    Approach
I led a focused research and strategy phase to define a clear brand value proposition and positioning platform. From this foundation, I repositioned Tyresense as the leader in TPMS and integrated fleet management systems and developed a new Tyresense brand identity and messaging to match.

    Results
With the new brand in place, Tyresense now operates with clarity and confidence across its technology platform, communications and global operations. The rebrand has been embraced internally and by customers, strengthening the company’s leadership position and supporting continued international growth.

paper NONFICTION PROTEIN BAR / BRAND + PACKAGING + DIGITAL

Nonfiction — Keep it real. Keep it simple.

    Assignment
Brand identity, packaging, and e-commerce website for a new protein bar company

Nonfiction launched with a simple mission: to create a protein bar held to the same standards as the food in the local grocery store. I partnered with the team to define a distinctive brand value proposition and visual identity aimed at active lifestyle and clean-eating consumers.

    Approach
I developed packaging for Nonfiction’s four introductory flavors: Blueberry Almond, Oatmeal Chocolate, Mint Chocolate, and Chocolate Espresso.

In addition, we designed and built a bilingual (English and French) e-commerce website, along with supporting exhibit materials and sales collateral. The work expanded into digital advertising, variety pack design, and promotional merchandise kits for retail partners.

    Results
Nonfiction now sells directly to customers through its own website and Amazon storefront, and is available nationwide across Canada through major distribution partners.

paper Place Branding for Minto's YML Development

This project brought together strategy, design, and implementation at every level — from developing a refreshed brand identity and positioning strategy for 142 new townhomes, to crafting cohesive brand standards, perimeter hoarding, and entrance signage for the three existing residential towers.

We created a series of custom illustrations inspired by the community’s history — integrated as large-scale lobby murals across the property — and designed a multi-channel advertising campaign to support the launch.

To streamline future marketing, we built a digital template system in Canva, empowering Minto’s in-house team to manage and update their own creative. The toolkit included ready-to-use formats for Google Paid, On Demand, Organic & Paid Social, and Email campaigns — ensuring brand consistency across every touchpoint.

paper NDEVOR PROJECT REBRAND + WEBSITE

    Assignment
Developing a brand and website for a luxury builder

Ndevor has built a strong reputation in providing project management and contracting services to both luxury residential and commercial contracting projects. They needed their brand to reflect their position in the industry as a provider of bespoke projects for discerning clientele.

    Approach
I developed a brand strategy with narrative and messaging. I then rebranded Ndevor Custom Contracting as simply Ndevor Projects. In addition to a new identity, we developed a custom wordpress website to showcase their projects, approach and services.

    Results
Through engagement and discussion, I gained a deep understanding of Ndevor’s mission and vision. These insights led me to create a modern and impactful brand that embraces architectural elements yet reflects the confidence and distinctive character of Ndevor.
