After years of sharpening my skills behind the scenes, I officially stepped into the spotlight as Boy Sim in 2016 with my breakout single “Animals” on Calm Records. The track quickly caught fire as an underground pop anthem, setting the stage for a bold and unconventional career in genre-bending pop music.
I produce all flavors of pop—from glittery dance bangers to stripped-back folk-pop confessions—blending emotional punch with polished, high-impact sound. My creative home base is Logic Pro, but I’m fluent in all major DAWs thanks to my background in audio engineering. Whether I’m building a track from scratch or jumping into a collaborative session, I bring a deep toolkit: vocal production, mixing, mastering, synthesis, melodies, countermelodies, and a knack for killer chord progressions.
My sound wouldn’t be complete without the plugins I use daily: the CLA-2A for silky vocals, L316 on the master for that extra punch, and Soothe 2 to keep everything crystal clear. I’ve worked with artists like Slayyyter, Ayesha Erotica, Kady Rain, Aubrey Hays, That Kid, and P1nkstar, helping shape sounds that are fearless, fresh, and fiercely pop. Two tracks I’m especially proud of—“Hello Kitty” and “Touch My Body” by Slayyyter—have racked up millions of streams and continue to shake dance floors around the world.
Beyond producing, I’ve taught music production both in person and online, and I regularly handle vocal comping, editing, and full-track production for other artists. I also work with Killphonic Rights on sync licensing and publishing, landing sync placements that have grown my catalog and my reach.
As a songwriter, I lean into emotional contrast—tension in the verses, release in the chorus, vulnerability dressed up in glitter. I’m never afraid to chase a lyric that feels “too much” because, with the right delivery, that’s usually the line that hits hardest. I write about breakups, love, empowerment, joy, chaos, partying—anything human, really. Sometimes it’s for me, sometimes it’s for someone else, but it always starts the same way: a melody, a mood, a moment.
If there’s one thing I’m known for, it’s my speed. I can turn an idea into a full song in just a few hours, and collaborators often describe watching me work as “wiz kid magic.” But for me, it’s about flow—finding the heartbeat of the song and making it undeniable. I live for working with passionate artists who aren’t afraid to be weird, raw, and real. Together, we make pop that’s not just catchy—it’s electric.
