Hi, I’m Charles Olins. I started out as a session keyboardist and arranger for artists like Tina Turner, Tom Jones, Julian Lennon, and Donovan, and I even played with Yes on the 90125 era. I later moved to Los Angeles to sign as a songwriter with Warner Chappell, branching into writing and producing across theatre, film, and television.
For more than 25 years I collaborated with Cerrone, co-producing eight albums and MD’ing spectacular light-and-sound shows in France and Japan, including Versailles and Live 8. I’ve scored Paris productions like A Clockwork Orange and created songs and scores for Exposure: The Musical (staged in 2016 in London). Since 1990 I’ve worked as a film and TV composer on scores for dozens of films— including 12 Monkeys— and TV projects (Steven Seagal’s True Justice, Jasper the Mule, Looking After Jojo), plus commercials and documentaries. I’m always open to new collaborations, including animation features and artistic partnerships.
