I am a composer based in Leicestershire, UK, specialising in music for film and television as well as contemporary classical music. In 2022 I won the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic’s Rushworth Composition Prize and was commissioned to write a piece for Ensemble 10:10, which was performed in the Yoko Ono/John Lennon Centre in Liverpool in October 2023. I also won the Brookwright International Brass Band Competition in 2022; my piece Excursion is published by Brookwright Music and was performed at the RNCM Brass Band Festival in 2023 and recorded in the US by the Dallas Brass Band. My orchestral piece Flow State was performed by the BBC Philharmonic at Media City, Salford, as part of RNCM’s 50th anniversary celebrations. In 2021 I was a John Armitage Memorial Prize finalist with Onyx Brass, and in 2022 I won RNCM’s Rosamond Prize for They Multiply Their Wings, written with poet Katherine Collins. I have also written scores for feature films, including Krays: Code of Silence (2021), Wolves of War (2022), and the Lifetime film Christmas at Plumhill Manor.
