Project Summary:
This site was a personal challenge I decided to take on: creating a fully custom portfolio website designed to reflect my unique artistic style and technical abilities. The result is a site that simulates a desktop OS on desktop devices and adapts to a mobile OS for mobile users, providing a highly engaging and personalized user experience. The site is not only functional, but is designed to act as a constantly evolving work of art to add to my portfolio, while hosting my artistic portfolio itself.
My Role:
I was the sole developer and designer for this project.
Key Points:
- Designed the full UX and UI to simulate a functional desktop and mobile operating system
- Wrote all front-end code from scratch using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (and jQuery)
- Implemented responsive design principles to ensure a seamless experience across all devices
- Added creative coding elements and interactive features (such as movable and resizable windows on desktop, and an app drawer on mobile) to showcase my artistic skills
- Integrated my own artwork and illustrations to create a unique and personal mood and aesthetic
