Introducing a comprehensive online course on Human Design, this promotional video showcases the “Human Design System Introduction Guide”.

As the producer and director, I was responsible for capturing every aspect of the course on film. I directed, filmed and captured aerial footage indoors and outdoors using a drone. I also oversaw all aspects of post-production, including editing and adding English subtitles. The video serves as a powerful tool to promote the course and help interested individuals understand the concepts of Human Design.

“SIKAT SUBAR” is my first feature film (1h:34m long). I had the privilege of producing and directing this film between 2018 and 2019, spending several months in Timor-Leste to capture the essence of the country and its rich cultural heritage. This film delves into the world of cockfighting in Timor-Leste and its impact on society.

As the original creator, producer, director, and cinematographer of the documentary film SIKAT SUBAR, I was responsible for bringing this compelling story to life. I filmed and directed the entire project, including capturing stunning aerial footage using drone technology, high-speed images, and clear audio recordings, managing all aspects of film production. The post-production was completed in collaboration with Portuguese film studio FilmesDaMente. To date, the film has been selected for 36 international film festivals across 4 continents and 24 countries, receiving 13 awards and honorable mentions.

This achievement is particularly remarkable given the highly competitive landscape of today’s international film festivals, where the sheer volume of submissions and the ever-increasing quality of independent productions set a high bar for selection. Moreover, SIKAT SUBAR tackles a sensitive and controversial subject, which can sometimes face resistance in being showcased to audiences, making its recognition and acclaim even more significant.

Cockfighting is a prevalent activity in Timor-Leste and plays a significant role in the country’s cultural and economic landscape ( click here to read a related article). The contests are often held in conjunction with various rituals and ceremonies and serve as a primary source of livelihood for many families. The venues are located in the capital city of Díli and offer daily contests that start in the afternoon and continue until nightfall. This male-dominated activity attracts individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
