I am Lukas Smulskis, also known as Cyan Lu—a music producer, audio engineer, saxophonist, and live performer.
With expertise in managing complete music production cycles, working with creative teams, and blending technical precision with artistic vision, I bring a unique edge to every project. My extensive network of artists and collaborators allows me to gather creative talent for both small and large-scale projects, ensuring fresh and innovative contributions every time. My dedication to innovation, collaboration, and quality has positioned me as a versatile presence in both studio and live performance settings.
My projects span genres such as pop, electronic ambient, experimental, house, and Latin, showcased in my releases. Collaborating with event organisation JazzClub Amsterdam and artists like Willem de Bruin, Mitch Julius, and ii, I have been expanding my influence in the Baltics, Netherlands and Belgium. I’ve performed at prestigious venues such as Paradiso and Melkweg, as well as renowned festivals like Lowlands. On stage, I deliver dynamic performances that combine saxophone, synthesizers, and live electronics. In studio, I know how to deliver a quality and vibrant result with both technical and personal skills.

Recorded, produced and mixed over 50+ clients including choir concerts, orchestra concerts, various types of acoustic and semi acoustic ensembles. Produced, mixed and mastered classical, pop, rock and electronic music artists.
Recorded and mixed film foley, television overdubs and commercials.

Was selected for 4 subsidies from national culture funds in period of 2020-2021 for working with jazz, classical, baroque, electronic, rap and pop artists. ( total funds ≈ 10 000 €.

Helped to finish a track; give musical direction; philosophy when creating a track.
Live performance in a club where I play original compositions. Here I use a drum machine, saxophone with effects and AKAI controller to establish an energetic live set.
Together with a well knows dutch artist - Willem de Bruin I have toured and performed all around the The Netherlands, Belgium venues and festivals. I played saxophone mashed with guitar pedals, Moog Grandmother for bass and melody swirls, and applied live effects.
