DOTSdotRED

I’m Susanne Turnbow, an illustrator and visual storyteller based in Germany. Working under my label dots.red, I create images that invite pause — illustrations shaped by observation, quiet humor, and an affection for small, human moments.

My work moves between editorial and book illustration, character-driven storytelling, and concept-led visual worlds. I’m drawn to projects where images carry emotion, build atmosphere, and help stories unfold gently rather than loudly. Whether for books, brands, or cultural contexts, I value illustration as a way of making meaning visible.

I believe strong images don’t need to be loud — they need to be felt.
