Hi, I’m Laura Smith, a Manitoba-based producer, songwriter, musician, vocalist, educator and equity-in-the-studio advocate. I work across Vancouver, Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, Sweden, Switzerland and Manitoba, collaborating with artists from around the globe. I’ve co-written, produced and performed with bands like Rococode and projects under the Daggerss umbrella, while building communities and supporting emerging voices in the studio.
I’ve secured numerous grants to write, record, and tour original music, and I organize initiatives like Good + Plenty Producers Club to support 2-spirit, non-binary and femme-identifying creatives in the studio. My work spans studio production, toplines, performances, and education, with a focus on collaboration, craft, and equitable access in the creative process.
