Mary Duffin

I’m Mary Duffin, a screenwriter, playwright, dramaturg, and script editor based in Newbridge, Co. Kildare. I work across film, TV, theatre, and creative facilitation—shaping stories from first drafts through production, supporting writers with script doctoring, and bringing characters to life as an actor and director.

My training spans major Irish and UK screenwriting and film programs, and my experience ranges from developing feature and short scripts to collaborating on genre and thriller writing, alongside roles in production and story editing. Alongside my creative practice, I also teach and facilitate—working with organisations and emerging talent through script tutoring, drama facilitation, and communications teaching.
