I possess over a decade of industry experience and have worked on projects of varying scope which have covered a multitude of disciplines and processes. Experience UX Designer (Contract) Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) January 2021 — Present UX designer for MHRA — My role is to to analyse existing processes and understand the requirements of the operating procedure in collaboration with a discovery team with an end goal of presenting findings and recommendations from a digital perspective. UX Designer (Contract) Co-Op Digital May 2018 — December 2020 UX designer for Co-Op Digital Funeralcare - My role was based in Co-Op’s funeral care department working on user experience and interface design for the ‘Guardian’ project which facilitates the arrangement of funerals for colleagues in over 1500 branches. UX Designer (Contract) Shop Direct October 2017 — May 2018 UX designer for Shop Direct - the UK’s second largest online retailer and owners of brands including Very and Littlewoods. My role was based around the generation and facilitation of all UX elements for the customer accounts systems with a specialism on user facing systems for arrears management. Design Director JP74 Limited May 2013 — September 2017 I was employed as the Design Director for JP74 and was responsible for the creative output of the agency, bringing a ‘human touch’ to every touch point in our projects whilst ensuring we practice and maintain meticulous design standards. My role encompassed the planning and strategy of our digital projects - from the initial project diagnosis, through scoping and prototyping to the final designed product. I managed a team who specialised in user experience and digital design - I developed a number of working processes that ensured that the team worked efficiently and seamlessly integrated with the technical developers. I also instilled a ‘design philosophy’ and I ensured that this was championed thorough the company. All of the projects were user focussed, so a great amount of thought and care went into the functionality of what we created.
