Hi there! My name is Danae and I specialize in concept art, specifically character and creature art, as well as illustration. I took an interest in characters at young age and it focused on it ever since. With my knowledge, comes observational skills as well as anatomical awareness. This paired with a keen eye for detail allows me to create characters and creatures correctly and realistically. I very much enjoy the creative process of concept art and take pride in my work.
I am a highly motivated individual who strives to do well professionally. I am goal driven and will always go the extra mile to make sure that the job is done right and to the best of my ability. Years of experience in customer focused jobs has allowed me to adopt a professional work ethic and great people skills which allows me to understand a client’s vision easily and communicate openly throughout a project in order to bring it to completion.
This summer I was lucky enough to work with Dragon Scale Studios on their new game for Transfuzer, Set Sail as my first gig after graduating ! This illustration was my final art work for Dragon Scale Studios and their upcoming game, Set Sail! The illustration was featured on their stand at the insomnia gaming convention in Birmingham and I couldn't be happier. This has been a wonderful and fun first experience as a concept artist and illustrator after graduating and I'll always be grateful for this opportunity! Luxen is one of the 5 boss enemies the player needs to face in order to obtain the collectibles needed to craft his curse cure. Luxen was once the trusted familiar and protector of a sick witch that eventually passed leaving him heartbroken and very territorial. The collectible in Luxen's is called the witch's catnip. As a final part to my major university project I created a mockup screenshot in order to get a better feel of what the game would actually look like. I was going for a story based platformer game with strong illustration elements and decided to incorporate that as 2D dialogue and storytelling illustrations. illustrator
The Eontree diorama was a major part of my final university project on world building. The illustration features the eontree as well as Sheeba, guardian of the Eonfruit. This is a 2D concept art and illustration focused project. I used a combination of 3DS Max and clip studio paint to bring my vision to life.
