I’m David Kwalikwalaba, a Congolese by nationality. I am a multidisciplinary artist, writer, storyteller, illustrator, and art facilitator. Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, my life took a dramatic turn in 2016 when I and my family fled the ravaging war and conflict, seeking refuge in Uganda. As a refugee, I found solace in art, using it as a means to process my experiences and express the stories of my people. My works explore themes of displacement, identity, resilience, and hope.
