IDey

Idey needed a marketplace app connecting clients who need services with verified service providers, individuals or companies. It had to cover job posting, applications, hiring, in-app chat, ratings, identity verification for providers, and subscription payments.

I built Idey in Flutter with GetX, Dio, and REST APIs for Android and iOS. On the client side, users sign up, browse categories, search providers, post jobs, review applications, hire, chat, and rate providers after completion. On the provider side, users sign up as an individual or a company, complete Didit biometric KYC verification before the app unlocks, subscribe to a plan through Paystack, Korapay, or Interswitch, browse and apply for jobs, manage accepted jobs from a dashboard, list services in the marketplace, and chat with clients. Chat and notifications run on Socket.io with JWT auth and auto reconnect. I handled the Android build setup, including Kotlin DSL fixes, adaptive launcher icons, and native splash screens, along with fixes across job details, chat creation, and subscription display.

Idey went through closed testing with 12 testers. I fixed the bugs found, including a failing resend OTP flow, and moved the app into production on Google Play. Testers gave positive feedback on the UI and functionality.
