I am Dean M. Charles, a music, arts, entertainment, and visual media professional and educator with extensive experience across film, television, and global music production. I founded DMC Entertainment / DMC Pictures to develop premium documentary storytelling and culturally significant music-driven content, collaborating with legendary artists such as Dr. Dre, Babyface, Patti LaBelle, Nas, Raphael Saadiq, and Boyz II Men. I have served as an executive producer on documentary projects like UNHEARD VOICES and THE MENTOR, led creative direction and talent partnerships, and packaged projects for major streaming platforms.

As a composer and producer, I’ve contributed to landmark television properties including The Boondocks and The Young & The Restless, and I’ve worked across music supervision, rights clearance, and streaming platform strategy. My work aims to honor cultural legacies while delivering engaging, music-driven storytelling that resonates with diverse audiences.
