Sign in: https://www.twine.net/signup_ I’m Chidera Uzoka, a Calgary-based oil and digital painter building powerful visual stories rooted in identity, faith, and culture. Over the past five years, I’ve created commissioned works across Canada, the U.S., and the U.K., and recently expanded my practice into a physical studio at NVRLND Arts Foundation. In addition, I’ve worked as a graphic and production designer at Mount Royal University over the past three years with major design accomplishments including the redesign of the Mount Royal conservatory brand identity, the EDI Good human campaign, and the redesign of the annual Crowchild Classic branding. My client work includes album covers, book illustrations, portrait commissions, and community-centered art projects. I hosted my first solo exhibition with over 150 guests in attendance, including Alberta’s Minister of Arts, Culture and the Status of Women, and was invited to showcase and sell my work at the Government of Alberta’s Black History Month event, the Calgary Black Chambers showcase, and the Canadian Food Services office. I’ve also taught painting workshops for the TMT Foundation and the Alcove Centre for the Arts, creating accessible learning experiences for emerging young artists. Each project reflects my mission to honor Black stories, uplift the voices around me, and create work that inspires connection and faith
