In my role as a UI/UX designer, I aimed to create an experience that transcended mere functionality, striving for an interface that delighted users at every interaction. Here are some key aspects that I believe would contribute to an exceptional user experience: Effortless Navigation: A clear and intuitive information architecture, ensuring users can swiftly locate the features they need without confusion. Streamlined menus and prominent search functionality, simplifying the process of discovering content. Thoughtful categorization of shows and movies, aiding in seamless browsing. Personalized Recommendations: Leveraging user viewing history and preferences to suggest content that resonates with individual tastes. Implementing an intelligent recommendation engine that learns and adapts over time, continually refining its suggestions. I wanted the website to capture that same spirit - a bit quirky, a bit nostalgic, and always "extra." User-Centric Design: I knew the website needed to be more than just visually appealing; it needed to be intuitive and easy to navigate. I conducted user research to understand how people interacted with beverage brand websites and what they expected to find. This helped me create a user flow that felt natural and effortless. Embracing the "Extra": Inspired by Dr Pepper's tagline, I wanted to inject some playfulness into the design. I used bold colors, dynamic animations, and eye-catching typography to create a visually stimulating experience. But I was careful not to overdo it - the design needed to be exciting without being overwhelming. Showcasing the Product: Dr Pepper's unique flavor profile is a key selling point, so I made sure to highlight it on the website. I used high-quality product photography and enticing descriptions to make visitors crave a can. I also created a dedicated section for Dr Pepper's history, showcasing its heritage and adding a touch of authenticity. Mobile-First Approach: Knowing that many users would access the website from their phones, I prioritized a mobile-first design.
