Devyn Rae started in 2014 as a Duo in her hometown of Denver, Colorado. Devyn grew up writing songs and picked up a guitar when she was 8 years old. Influenced by her musician father, she trained in vocals throughout her life and decided to make music her career when she met her original guitarist in 2013. Devyn Rae started in a studio with a local producer Mario Romero and began crafting her songs to be released later on SoundCloud as a 4 song EP. After the release Devyn Rae performed at many local venues as well as Denver’s popular local festivals such as Underground Music Showcase in 2014 and the Taste of Colorado in 2018. In the year of 2018 Devyn Rae was also elected to be on the independent record label Original 1265 Recordings with her single “Murky Waters” that was released through many platforms including Spotify. Devyn Rae has also been hired by many local producers and organizations as a lead vocalist such as Up with People’s song “Maybe I”. In 2020, Devyn Rae released her second single “Friends Say” with her newest female powerhouse members, bassist Rachael Margulies and guitarist Heather Hunt. Devyn Rae has an album “Little Things” that is projected to be released in September 2021. Devyn Rae’s influences has come from her roots of R&B, Pop, Rock and folk music. She admired singer/songwriters like Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill, Aaliyah, Sara Jarosz and Shakey Graves. These influences helped build her unique singer-songwriter sound of an American fusion of folk/pop, R&B, soul and jazz.
