I started my career in broadcasting in Western Canada, working as a News Reporter/Reader and later as a Producer/Director for CFRN TV and other Edmonton stations. Over the years I created general programming, produced news, and freelanced on multiple contracts across Alberta and beyond. In December 1992 I suffered an extremely severe traumatic brain injury. After a year of rehabilitation I pivoted to working part-time as a horseback riding instructor, eventually making it a full-time pursuit as my health allowed.
