I’m Sophia D. Moussaoui (alias DohiaspM), an artist-author working across illustration, comics, and manga, with a strong love for visual storytelling and mythic/esoteric reinterpretations. My practice blends research, personal anecdotes, and editorial-driven drawing—always aiming to make pages feel alive, intimate, and a little uncanny.
I also teach and facilitate workshops in observational drawing, storyboarding, and bookbinding, from primary-school comics creation to adult graphic arts sessions. Between fanzines, booklets, and comic collaborations, I keep building worlds—while sharing my process with others through education and community events in the Lille region.
The client who commissionned me for his book cover also commissioned me a few months later to create 3 illustrations to illustrate some chapters of his book for advertising. We decided to go for a screentone look with accent colors, every color has a meaning and follows the whole theme of every chapter.
I got a commission to illustrate a poster for a magician of my city, his magic show is inspired by Harry Potter and he asked me to illustrate one of his magic trick where a feather appears from his magic wand in a spark of light. He asked me to have a castle visible in the background.
Illustration to create new bookmarks, the illustration is splitted in two to have two models of bookmarks.
My client asked me to create the front, back and spine of his whole auto-published book "The System is Working Perfectly... Just not for you". The brief was quite clear, poverty, rain and a cyberpunk mood for the bottom part, a machinery in the middle feeding the top part which has a more "Instagram Billionaire" 's look with the golden hour lighting. I worked a lot on storytelling, hiding details everywhere.
