The Glenn Show is a podcast hosted by Professor Glenn Loury from Brown University and talks about race, inequality, and economics in the US and throughout the world. (130k Subscribers)

I work as the video and audio editor for this podcast. I am responsible for processing these assets and bringing them up to professional standards. As the video editor, I combine the recorded videos and add extra visual content (in the form of video or images) to help highlight the topics in discussion. This also helps the viewers to get more information if they are interested. I also process and mix the audio to the broadcast standards or TV, Web and radio. This ensures a consistent quality control on all platforms and formats of the show. Additionally, there are guests with no professional audio recording setup to which I will process their audio to make it sound as if it were recorded in a studio. This can be tricky but I find to be a very important part for podcasts as good quality audio doesn’t necessarily grow your audience, but helps the audience that is there to listen longer. The duration data point can be important for adverts and investors which are integral to the success of any production.

Now a little bit about the show, Glenn is known for being able to play the “devils advocate” to an accurate and honest degree. He can argue another’s perspective that he doesn’t hold and fights for it in a way that someone from that camp would genuinely do. As a public speaker, he recognizes this responsibility for people and point-of-views to be represented and heard and does so with respect.

This show presents viewers with a unique perspective and consideration for American politics and their implications to the individual and society as a whole.

Understandtrees is a singer-solo-songwriter and performer in the city of Toronto, Canada. We’ve worked together for many years and I’ve helped produce, record and mix his music which can be found on all streaming platforms.

Understandtrees is a deep thinker and an incredible artist. I’ve enjoyed helping make their ideas become reality and in a format that can be shared with everyone.

The Swiggs are a band based out of Toronto whom I’ve been recording and mixing all the music their music which has been published on all music streaming platforms.

As the recording and mixing engineer, I was responsible for the equipment, capture and export of the finalized product. In pre-production I put together a quote of the costs for equipment rentals and studio space to have a good understanding of how much this production would cost. I organized and rented the equipment necessary and captured the band. Post-production involved working with the vocalist to produce a polished version of the vocals which I then incorporated with the drums, bass and guitar that was recorded together. I mixed these elements together and mastered the final product for its public release.
