Having obtained a PhD in Translation Studies from University College London (with time at Harvard in 2019, and Yale in 2021), I have put translation as an object of analysis in my teaching and research. In Shanghai, I was often paid to polish, examine and correct English written as a second-language, to the point that it became like a reflex. As a translator of German, Russian and Brazilian myself, I would be more than happy to extend those capacities and skill-set toward this role.
